Biography

Courtney P. Spencer

Attorney Spencer has represented children with a wide array of disabilities and has worked diligently to get her clients all the services that they are entitled to under the law. She has successfully tried due process cases and handled federal appeals, working with families from towns throughout Connecticut.

Courtney is considered a legal resource in her field and has given multiple presentations on special education law to a variety of parent groups and attorneys.

Courtney has worked in both private firms and for the State of Connecticut, always with a concentration in special education law.

She earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. While there, she interned for Connecticut Legal Services, was the community outreach director for the Public Interest Law Group and interned at the Center for Children’s Advocacy. She was on the Moot Court Board, was a teaching assistant for the Moot Court program and was an associate editor for The Insurance Law Journal.

As part of her law school program, Courtney also studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, where she focused her studies on human rights law.

Courtney is a lifelong resident of Connecticut. In addition to being an attorney she is a wife and mother to one beautiful daughter.
